Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup (Review)

What it claims: “Finally, truly decadent makeup offers ultimate performance. The mousse-like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time release formula balances skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear without flaking, caking or feeling heavy.”

Price:

INR 800 for 23.7ml

I will cut out the suspense and tell you straight away that I am really glad to have found this foundation. I was on a look out for a new foundation and after hours of research had zeroed down on "Estee Lauder Double Wear". But when I went to purchase the same, they had run out of the shade that matched my skin-tone. At this time "Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup" came into my life, and I am proud to say that I have finally labeled a foundation, my HG.

Pros

Staying power is great. Seriously ladies, if applied and touched up the right way, it will last all day. It claims to stay on for 24 hours, ummmmm okay, have not tried that yet, but it can easily stay put nicely from morning to evening. For me, the best way to apply this foundation is with a damp sponge. This way you get a beautiful, dewy, sheer coverage which can be built up according to your preference.

Blends beautifully. I do not like foundations which dry up in a jiffy. Now I know Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation is a cult favorite among ladies, but it has never worked for me. There I said it! It dries super fast, and it emphasizes my non existent laugh lines and pores. None of those issues with this baby.

Contains SPF 20.

Gives medium to full coverage. For stubborn marks and blemishes, you can dab a little more foundation at the concerned spots.

Cons

Comes in three shades only. Like seriously, whats up with this three shades for all frigging skin tones deal Revlon?

It contains SPF, so you know the deal, it can appear weird in flash photography and all that blah.

When speaking about the cons, you cannot miss out the packaging. I don't know why I find the bulky jar packaging attractive, but i cannot deny that this jar would not be convenient to carry around and is of course, unhygienic.

My Rating: 5/5
The impeccable finish this foundation provides my bad-ass oily skin, makes me give it a 5 out of 5. At 800 rupees, it gives you the same results as many high-end foundations.  I would suggest even the most fair Indian girls to buy its second shade, "Warm Golden" to avoid looking ghastly white.
