Add a little funk to your look- Lakme Colored Hair Extensions and Nail Art

I have had my share of adventures with hair color, (red, burgundy, light brown, chocolate brown, blue, I am not even kidding) so much so that I don’t have interest in colouring my hair anymore. I have fine hair which is very prone to damage and whenever and however I have colored it, it has resulted in my hair becoming lifeless. This monsoon Lakmé Salon has introduced two new services ‘Funky hair extensions’ and ‘Nail art’ to its existing menu. I was totally up for the idea of adding color to my hair without any potential damage.

These funky hair extensions made of real hair, are available at Lakmé Salons in three different colours-  red, blue and purple and can be tonged, ironed or just left as it blends perfectly with the natural hair. I got a red extension, and it took like a minute to get it fixed with some strands of my hair. These extensions are plied to your hair and the process doesn’t take much time at all.

I got my extension done more than two weeks ago, and so far I have not had any issues with it. The color is still the same vibrant red and it is easy to blend it with the rest of my hair in whatever way that I want to. I have got the extension placed somewhat at the back of my head and have to arrange my hair a little in order for it to be seen.

These extensions can easily stay in your hair for two months or more. If the extensions do get loose you can go to the Salon and get it fixed again. I shampoo my hair every second day, and in the monsoons I have been shampooing my hair more frequently but the color of the extension has not budged even slightly.

Lakmé has revised its price of these extension to 650 per piece (the price varies at Lakmé Absolute Salons), which I’ll say is a great deal. I totally love the concept of these colored hair extensions. It's a hassle-free way to add some oomph to your look, it takes only a few minutes and the most important thing is that you get some color in your hair without damaging it.

Update: If your extension gets a bit loose, I would suggest you get it fixed as soon as possible. My extension got a bit loose, I was careless about and didn't get it fixed for more then a week, which resulted in a few strands of my hair breaking.
