The New Maybelline Colossal Kajal : Review

Maybelline recently relaunched its Colossal Kajal in a new form which claims to last upto 12 hours. Tripti is here to tell us if the new formula stays true to the claim.

Hey Girls here comes Colossal Kajal saying **hello beautiful!!**

I’m not much of a makeup person but kajal is a must have for my daily make-up kit, as .I can’t move out of my house without wearing it. It is kind of freaky but I am obssesed with finding the best of the best kajal for me & I really feel blessed, when I get the perfect one to define my eyes.

Maybelline Colossal Kajal comes encased in bright yellow colored twist up pencil which makes it really easy to use. The texture of the pencil is soft and smooth so you just need the application of 2-3 strokes for the dramatic look.  It fades slightly & neatly without smudging & causing dark circles around the eyes. It seems to be healthy as it claims to be enriched with Vitamin E that soothes the eyes & jazz up the look as well. :)

The best thing I like about this kajal is that it can be used both as a Kajal and an Eye-liner.

Maybelline claims: 12 Hr Smudge proof. Deepest Black.

·        12 Hr: I applied it on my water line & upper lash line & it stayed well for 6 hrs after that it got lighter but did not vanish till 10 hr, so its claim of 12hr can be slightly factual.

·        No Smudge: It is soft but not that creamy. So it does not smudge till you rub your eyes.

·        Waterproof: Even after I wash my face it does not completely wipe off till I use a tissue paper so this is definitely water resistant.

Pros

• Extra smooth
• No sharpening required
• Long lasting
• Waterproof

Cons

• It is not the intense bold black color as I was looking for..
• It won't come off that easily
• The kajal stick is too delicate to break when rolled up completely so needs to be careful while using it
• If you sleep without removing the kajal then it dries and sticks around your eyes

My Rating: 4/5 

It’s good for daily wear & off course deserves a try. I have no complains as it comes at a pocket friendly price & should last me for about 2-4 months. I definitely recommend it to all you beautiful ladies.. Cheers!!
