Is it a weapon? Is it some kind of revolutionary writing
equipment? Is it the cover of the 5th edition of the Twilight series
(sorry the red and black picture reminded me of the Twilight covers for some
reason, the pale hands didn't help either)? No, this is just the extremely fancy and striking design of the
Christian Louboutin Nail Paints launched earlier this year.
You may be familiar with the well-known story of how the
iconic Louboutin red soles came into existence. Christian Louboutin once
painted the soles of a pair of shoes with red nail paint, and the rest as they say is history. So
it is understandable that when the luxury shoe designer decided to foray into the
world of beauty twenty-two years later, he decided to start with with nail paints.
“The red sole was born from red nail polish.
I am giving back to beauty what the shoes took from the nails many years ago.”
I am giving back to beauty what the shoes took from the nails many years ago.”
Christian Louboutin
The full range includes 30 colours, under the categories: Pops,
Nudes and Noirs, the one in the picture being the The Rouge Louboutin with a seven-inch calligraphy-inspired cap.
I knew one day beauty products will be able to do more than just
making a girl feel fabulous! Though this may not fit the archetypal 5 essential beauty products I carry in my handbag
type list, it can certainly double up as a self-defence weapon if the
situation asks for it.
For how much you ask? 50$, that’s all.
