Does your city look the same without me?
The bumpy pavements, the Deodar trees,
The February moon and the reckless nights,
The nearby hills with the twinkling lights.
And our little room, does it miss me?
The February moon and the reckless nights,
The nearby hills with the twinkling lights.
And our little room, does it miss me?
Its yellow walls, white undulated sheets,
The sunshine streaming with the northern breeze,
Do they ask you, where I have been?
The sunshine streaming with the northern breeze,
Do they ask you, where I have been?
Ever since, I said goodbye,
Seasons wiped my love, off your hopeful eyes.
Millions of wishes, thousands of roads,
Not one that can take me, back to you.

One of my old friends and I thought of sharing a poem with each other everyday for the whole month. Sadly the routine ceased after 3 days only (haha!), but on reading my poems for the first two days, he asked me why I didn't write poems that rhymed. This lead me to try my hand at rhyming after a long, long time. If you can't remember the last time you wrote a poem, why don't you try writing one today? Quite a soothing experience I tell you!
Also wanted to share this really cool website I found for affordable clothes! Check out Simple Dress.
