Winter Loving With Himalaya

‘Tis the season of joy! And also it’s the season of dry skin and chapped lips. Though winter does not hit hard in Mumbai, the slight nip in the year is enough to make us all reach for our moisturization arsenals. Himalaya has been my knight in shining armor this winter by sharing with me their best winter essentials to pamper my skin with some much needed TLC. To know my top favorites from the #HimalayaWinterBundle, keep on reading!

I find myself going in moisturization trance these days while binge watching Youtube videos. Himalaya Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion and Soothing Body Lotion have been my two favourite body lotions for these moisturization trance rituals. The Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Lotion is deep-penetrating and contains naturally derived Cocoa Butter and Wheat Germ Oil, which help repair and nourish skin as well as making it supple. The Soothing Body Lotion contains oils of Almond and Grape Seed which prevent skin from cracking and provide hydration to help maintain the skin’s natural moisture balance. These body lotions are available in packs of 100 ml (INR 80), 200ml (INR 140) and 400 ml (INR 250,)  which makes them a bang for your buck!

Himalaya’s Revitalizing Night Cream has been my bae since a long, long time. Check out this post where I had reviewed the cream in 2012. The revamped version of the Revitalizing Night Cream contains White Lily which is rich in antioxidants, helps neutralize free radicals and repair daily damage, and Tomato fruit which is rich in flavonoids and AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) that help in cell renewal. The cream works overnight to restore skin’s moisture balance, making your skin feel soft and rejuvenated with regular use.
My hands feel dry all year around thanks to my OCD of washing them incessantly. Himalaya’s Winter Defence Moisturizing Cream works as a deep nourishing treatment for my hands and feet. The cream is enriched with Wheat Germ, Jojoba Oil and Almond Oil and will work great to nourish even the extremely dry areas of your skin.

·         Do not bathe with extremely hot water which will strip your skin of its moisture. Say yes to lukewarm baths and cut down on your bathing time.
·         You may feel less thirsty in winters but remember to drink adequate amount of water throughout the day, which is not only important for hydrated skin but also helps in releasing toxins from our body.
·         Once in a week, give your feet and hands a deep nourishing treatment by applying a heavy moisturizer and wearing gloves/socks overnight.
·         Include foods like carrots, broccoli, spinach and tuna in your diet if you are really serious about taking care of your skin.

Hope you all are having an amazing time with your loved ones this holiday season. Until next time!
